Our mission has always been to provide value to our customers, employees and owners by being a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of innovative high quality products and services that meet the overall needs of our customers.
Safety is a very important part of our operating philosophy, encompassing worker safety and food safety. Our commitment to safety is supported by major investments in plant design upgrades, processing parameters, operating procedures and extensive training. We are committed to meeting the food safety challenges faced by the food industry globally through rigorous training, quality process improvements and implementation. These efforts have been rewarded by a continual string of excellent to superior ratings from independent auditing services and our customers.
Historically, PGP International’s product offerings ranged from rice flour and specialty flour blends, to a wide variety of extruded ingredients. We are a market leader in exporting specialty rice flour blends to the Pacific Rim, and a leading medium grain and glutinous rice flour and extruded ingredient manufacturer domestically.
Using extrusion processing, we offer a broad variety of grain and protein based extruded particulates for the confectionery, cereal and nutritional bar sectors and our PAC line of rice-based functional ingredients for the food and nutraceutical industries. Our broad spectrum of capabilities and extruded particulate offerings provides our customers with enormous flexibility in their development of new products and product concepts.
As a result of our merger with Protient, Inc. effective September 1, 2009, I am pleased to announce an expansion to our product line with the addition of lactose, whey protein isolates and whey protein hydrolysates produced in our Juda, Wisconsin facility. We have also added the ability to package powdered nutritional and health drink formulations at our Springfield, Missouri plant. Add to that our sales of Nutri Sperse® nutritional powdered drink ingredient manufactured by Ohly and MCTs for food application manufactured by ABITEC Corporation, we now have a powerful line-up of ingredients for a wide variety of formulation needs.
In meeting the demanding needs of our customers, we continually seek ways to provide improved performance, value and quality in everything we do. Our commitment to customer service is backed by an ongoing investment in our people, our processes and overall capabilities to ensure the highest level of quality and service.
